I riferimenti più o meno palesi sono Melvins, Earth, Grouper, Sunn O))), Sarah Lipstate, Mastodon, Nirvana, Black Flag, High On Fire, Sleep, Alice In Chains, Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr, Witch, Kyuss, Soundgarden, Emma Ruth Rundle, John Carpenter, Fabio Frizzi, Isaak, Eremite, Isis, Harvestman, Morgengruss, Burzum, Vanessa Van Basten, Mope, Perseo Miranda, Magross, Wolves In The Throne Room."

Elettrosumma 22 is a collection of home recordings by Maso (Isaak's bass player) who arranged them during the awful well known days when Liguria, and the city of Genova in particular, were on maximum flood alert (October-November 2014).
"During the stormy days (and especially at night) I recorded 50 minutes of music, from instrumental lofi sludge stoner rock to more atmospheric/ambient sonorities, including a rough black metal track. Always keeping a psychedelic music background.
I entirely played guitar, bass and synth but drums are stolen here and there, reassembled and remixed in a hip hop way, borrowing the rhythm sessions from some of my favorite drummers.
As a big fan of cult movies, some of the titles I chose are the Carpenter (or Bava, or Fulci) version of events that really happened in those tragic days. Other titles are personal references or stupid puns.
Elettrosumma 22 was a calculator produced by Olivetti in 1957 for addition and subtraction only. And with simple additions and subtractions I put together my recordings. A very natural approach, easy and effective. Tracks are not balanced within themselves following the typical rules of “good listening”: this because it was easier for me, but also especially because I have a lopsided music taste, due to my insatiable listening to albums of the 90's. Stag by Melvins in particular keeps surprising me every time. But my instrumental tracks follow a precise narrative structure, as a soundtrack of a zombie / horror / cannibal story.
I've been more or less clearly influenced by Melvins, Earth, Grouper, Sunn O))), Sarah Lipstate, Mastodon, Nirvana, Black Flag, High On Fire, Sleep, Alice In Chains, Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr, Witch, Kyuss, Soundgarden, Emma Ruth Rundle, John Carpenter, Fabio Frizzi, Isaak, Eremite, Isis, Harvestman, Morgengruss, Burzum, Vanessa Van Basten, Mope, Perseo Miranda, Magross, Wolves In The Throne Room."
Maso Nero is a pseudonym behind which hides Massimo Perasso, known as just “Maso”. He's the bass player of the stoner metal band Isaak (formerly Gandhi's Gunn) and co-owner of Taxi Driver Record Store and the associated independent label Taxi Driver Records.
